Job summary

Barnes & Noble College seeks a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service, assist with locating materials, and process transactions at the campus store during peak periods.

The role focuses on creating a welcoming shopping experience, stocking shelves, and supporting daily store operations while collaborating with store leaders and teammates in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (minimum age in California locations is 18).
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving, order fulfillment and other daily tasks.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily priorities in a fast-paced setting.
