Job summary

Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a temporary clerical assistant in the Bronx, supporting study recruitment and data management. The role involves preparing mailing packets, maintaining study logs, and assisting with REDCap data entry and reports, with bilingual Spanish/English communication.

You will work with the study team, coordinate with the Program Manager and Study Coordinator, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate well with others.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare mailing packets to be sent to medical facilities and prepare materials for study visits.
  • Maintain electronic logs in study databases.
  • Assist with data tracking and quality review.
  • Printing and preparing health education resources.
  • Assisting with REDCap data entry, generating reports, and reviewing Epic provider panels for eligible study participants.
  • Updating internal tracking systems (Excel and REDCap) with recruitment contact attempts and outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with the study team, including the Program Manager, Study Coordinator, and Clinical Interviewer.
  • Recruitment of participants into study utilizing both Spanish and English skills.
  • Manage, organize and file paper copy medical records for hospitalized and deceased study participants.
  • Review and scan medical releases of information for submission to hospitals and medical facilities.
  • Organize and redact medical records for submission to coordinating center.
  • Other duties as needed.

This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of six (6) months.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate plus 6 months - 1 year of clerical experience required.

Salary Verbiage

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.

ABOUT US

The Bronx clinic (funded $12+million) of the Hispanic Community Health Study is 1 of 4 national sites contracted by the government to recruit Hispanic Latino adults residing in the Bronx territory. Recruiters are required to bring in a total of 4,000 participants into the study. To do so, they must be physically fit (walk up/down stairs in non elevator buildings, carry a laptop and/or study equipment), communicable (various Spanish speaking tongues and cultural acceptances), computer literate etc.
