Job summary

Maricopa County Elections is seeking a Temporary Ballot Tabulation Center Adjudicator to review voters' intent, process ballots, duplicate damaged ballots, and perform data entry. This role may work in the office, in the field, or in customer-facing settings during the November General Election.

Employees must have a high school diploma or GED, be a registered voter in Arizona, respect privacy, and be able to work overtime during the election cycle. Bilingual English/Spanish is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a registered voter in AZ by hire date.
• Must be a registered Republican or Democrat voter.
• Must pass an applicable background screening and drug testing as required.
• Must be able to work overtime during the election cycle.
• Must have legible penmanship.

Responsibilities

• Determines a voter's intent on a bipartisan Duplication or Adjudication Board.
• Review ballots using proprietary election-related software to accurately assess a voter's intent.
• Collaborates in teams of two, each rep presenting different political affiliations (e.g., Republican and Democrat).
• Ensures thorough and legible documentation throughout the tabulation procedure.
• Assists other divisions within Elections or the Recorder's Office with daily operations and additional job duties as assigned.
