Job summary

Maricopa County Elections is seeking Temporary Ballot Tabulation Center Adjudicators to review ballots, duplicate damaged ballots, and enter data accurately. The role supports the November General Election and may require office, field, or customer-facing work hours.

Responsibilities include determining voter intent on a bipartisan board, using specialized software, and documenting procedures thoroughly. Overtime may be required during the election cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a registered voter in Arizona by time of hire.
• Must be a registered Republican or Democrat voter.
• Must pass an applicable background screening.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Must have legible penmanship.

Responsibilities

• Determines a voter's intent on a bipartisan Duplication or Adjudication Board.
• Reviews ballots using proprietary election-related software to assess a voter's intent.
• Collaborates in teams of two, each representing different political affiliations (e.g., Republican and Democrat).
• Ensures thorough and legible documentation throughout the tabulation procedure.
• Assists other divisions within Elections or the Recorder's Office with daily operations and additional duties.
