Job summary

L.L.Bean is seeking an entry-level temporary Art Direction talent to support video concepting, filming, and editing for web, social, and advertising. You will work with experienced Art Directors at our Corporate Headquarters in Freeport, Maine, 4-5 days a week, building your creative toolkit through hands-on projects and coaching.

You will contribute to brand storytelling and assist with production planning while developing a strong portfolio in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere.
• Interest in retail, fashion/outdoor and understanding of current industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the artistic translation of brand strategy and marketing communication to customers via video creation.
• Collaborate with merchants and Design partners to brainstorm and concept seasonal photography or video needs for omni-channel exposure plans.
• Assist with editing larger productions and lead on editing smaller projects.
• Assist with filming larger productions and lead on filming smaller projects.
• Support creative planning efforts, campaign strategies and initiatives.
• Contribute to the Creative team’s library of inspiration references.
• Execute assigned projects on schedule and within expenses.
• Partner with Photo Operations to meet production requirements.

We’re looking for a temporary emerging Art Direction talent who’s excited to jump in, collaborate, and help create engaging content for web, social, and advertising. In this entry‑level role, you’ll work alongside experienced Art Directors, support video concepting, filming, and editing, and build your creative toolkit through hands‑on projects, coaching, and real-world experience. This role requires the ability to be at our Corporate Headquarters in Freeport, Maine 4-5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the artistic translation of brand strategy and marketing communication to customers via video creation.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with merchants and Design partners to brainstorm and concept seasonalphotography or video needs for our omni-channel exposure plans.
• Assist with editing larger productions (I.E. How To) and take the lead on editing smaller projects (I.E. Paid Social)
• Assist with filming larger productions (I.E. How To) and take the lead on filming smaller projects (I.E. Paid Social)
• Support creative planning efforts, campaign strategies and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the Creative team’s library of inspiration references.
• Execute assigned projects on schedule and within assigned expenses.
• Partner with Photo Operations to ensure necessary production requirements are met.
• Participates in pre‑production meetings for assigned projects, providing creative input concerning print presentation.
• Applies aesthetic “eye” to convey brand, strategy, and editorial messages in unique and innovative ways.
• Solid skills in technologies that support the process across mediums.
• Maintain an awareness of changes in the creative industry.
• Ensure constructive, effective working relationships between creative team, marketing partners, and merchant divisions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Passion for fashion/outdoor photography or video content
• Strong creative portfolio with emphasis on video production
• Ability to prioritize tasks and milestones effectively
• Solid aesthetic sense, detailed‑oriented and highly organized
• Ability to collaborate and work with a variety of people in various disciplines
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

L.L.Bean uses a market‑based compensation approach. The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $26.03 - $31.24. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, education, geographic location, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
