Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Three years of professional auditing or accounting experience.
• Experience with governmental accounting standards (GASB) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Devises and maintains systems to provide accurate accounting data; performs internal audits.
• Prepares audit work papers, financial statements, disclosures, and reports.
• Coordinates with external auditors and develops audit plans.
• Maintains capital asset schedules for the ACFR.
• Performs accounts receivable duties, invoicing, and aging analysis.
• Prepares and posts journal entries; manages stale-dated checks.
• Reviews cash handling and internal controls; audits contracts.
• Assists in preparing audit programs including scope and risk assessments.
