Job summary

University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a temporary HR/academic administration professional to manage appointments, onboarding, and academic personnel dossiers. You will support recruitment, policy compliance, and cross-office communications for faculty and department leaders at UCI.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS or equivalent, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with admin or HR support experience.
• Extensive attention to detail with deadlines and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office.
• Fluent reading/writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage appointments, reappointments, merits, promotions, onboarding/offboarding for academic appointees.
• Prepare and review academic personnel dossiers for policy compliance and accuracy.
• Oversee academic recruitment activities, manage AP Recruit documentation, track deadlines.
• Serve as a point of contact for faculty and department leadership on academic HR policies and procedures.
