Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in American Samoa seeks an entry professional to help operate temple facilities and ensure temple ordinances remain pure and accessible. You will support maintenance, vendor coordination, budgeting, and safety compliance under the Temple Facilities Manager, serving a temple complex and related buildings up to 40,000 square feet.

This on-site position requires basic computer skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience or progress toward/completion of a degree or certification.
• Basic understanding of physical plant operations and preventive maintenance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Licensed as required by local law.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Good understanding of PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vendor coordination for routine maintenance and supplies.
• Provide data entry and budgeting support.
• Assist the Temple Facilities Manager with maintenance planning using finance, equipment, work order, and related software.
• Identify and report issues related to facility operations, safety and maintenance; follow TFM guidance.
• Coordinate inquiries and complaints under the guidance of the TFM.
• Assist in directing Temple Facilities Assistants in the absence of the TFM.
• Perform maintenance on HVAC, water treatment, laundry, baptismal font, electrical and lighting systems.
• Ensure projection, sound and communication systems operate properly.
