Job summary

Church of Jesus Christ is seeking a Sr. Assistant Temple FM 1 (Full time) to lead temple facilities operations in Seattle-area temples.

You will oversee maintenance, coordinate custodial and security teams, and assist the Temple Engineer with planning using FMAT/TFIS and other software. Responsibilities cover HVAC, water treatment, laundry and kitchen systems, electrical and plumbing work, and ensuring compliance with safety and local codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management or equivalent certification/license.
• 4+ years in physical plant operation and skilled trades experience.
• Familiar with health and safety regulations; leadership and training skills.
• Licensed as required by local law; temple recommend required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate temple facilities to standards set by leadership.
• Provide leadership to assistants and serve as a resource for custodians, security, and gardeners.
• Assist in maintenance planning using FMAT, TFIS and other tools.
• Oversee temple mechanical and electrical systems; supervise in engineer’s absence.
• Ensure HVAC, water treatment, laundry, kitchen, and purification systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Address electrical, plumbing, and general construction tasks as needed.
