Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Epic scheduling templates specialist to create, modify, and maintain templates within Epic. You will collaborate with multiple departments to implement efficient scheduling workflows and ensure adherence to standards across the health system.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, detailed planning, and excellent communication. Independent work and teamwork will be essential as you support template configurations and process improvements across campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AA/AS preferred.
• Four years of healthcare operations experience required.
• Experience with healthcare systems.

• Proven track record of follow-through and project completion.

Performs template creation, modification, and maintenance in Epic to support patient access and provider scheduling. Partners with departments to implement effective scheduling solutions while ensuring compliance with standards and best practices. Provides technical expertise in template building and serves as a key resource for template-related changes and configurations across the health system.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma. AA/AS degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Four (4) years of clinical/healthcare operations experience required. Experience with healthcare systems.
• Demonstrated template building experience.
• Strong technical aptitude and understanding of medical scheduling.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder requests.
• Proven track record of follow-through and project completion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

Epic Cadence certification preferred. Epic Schedule Strategy End User badge preferred. Process improvement certifications preferred.
