Job summary

Rasmussen Mechanical Services seeks a Temperature Control Systems Specialist to design, program, and optimize climate control systems for industrial and commercial environments.

You will work with BAS, PLCs, and DDC, troubleshooting and refining systems while ensuring safety and energy compliance. Collaboration with engineers and maintenance teams will drive reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with temperature control programming, HVAC automation, or building automation systems.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or mechanical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement control systems for temperature regulation (BAS, PLCs, DDC).
• Integrate thermostats, HVAC units, and dampers into centralized control systems.
• Create and fine-tune control algorithms to optimize energy efficiency.
• Identify and resolve programming or system issues for smooth operation.
• Conduct system audits and review data logs to improve performance.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing control systems for reliability.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety guidelines.
• Maintain documentation of programming logic and configurations.
• Collaborate with engineers and automation teams; provide training to maintenance.
