Job summary

Thompsonknows is seeking an experienced Temperature Controls Specialist to lead installation, commissioning, and service of BAS for commercial and industrial facilities. You will diagnose complex issues and deliver high-quality control systems with minimal supervision.

The role requires hands-on experience with major BAS platforms, strong reading of schematics, and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Travel to sites will be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with temperature controls, BAS, or HVAC controls.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment operation and control strategies.
• Hands-on commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of building automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate low-voltage temperature control and BAS components.
• Mount control panels and related equipment per specs.
• Perform system startup, commissioning, checkout, and testing.
• Diagnose and resolve complex BAS and HVAC issues.
• Support service calls, upgrades, retrofits, and maintenance.
• Review control sequences, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Document work and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Maintain safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
