Job summary

Edwards, a brand within Atlas Copco Group, is hiring a Mechanical Assembler in Haverhill, MA to support Cryo Final Assembly. You will assemble cryogenic vacuum pumps to meet production schedules and quality standards.

The role is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with a regular shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and requires at least 3 years of electromechanical assembly experience, reading drawings, and proficiency in English for safety communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electromechanical or similar mechanical/electromechanical assembly roles.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical education.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate work instructions, safety information, and technical documentation in English.

Responsibilities

• Produce cryogenic vacuum pump assemblies that meet workmanship standards, engineering specifications, and quality requirements.
• Complete assemblies in line with daily and scheduled production goals while maintaining required quality levels.
• Deliver products that pass inspection, helium leak testing, and functional testing on initial submission.
• Identify and resolve issues during assembly to prevent non-conforming products from progressing.
• Produce assemblies that meet tolerances, fit, and performance criteria.
• Follow safety, quality, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe workplace and uninterrupted production flow.
