Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Massachusetts is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the Cryo Final Assembly line. This temporary-to-permanent role supports production schedules by building high-quality cryogenic vacuum pump assemblies, reporting to the Production Team Leader, with a Monday–Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble per specifications, and pass helium leak and functional tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of electromechanical assembly experience.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent technical education.
• Ability to read, interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
• Basic computer skills and math skills.
• English reading/writing for work instructions and safety information.

Responsibilities

• Produce cryogenic vacuum pump assemblies meeting standards and specs.
• Complete assemblies to daily production goals with quality in mind.
• Pass inspection, helium leak and functional tests on initial submission.
• Identify and resolve issues to prevent non-conforming products.
• Ensure assemblies meet tolerances, fit, and performance criteria.
