Kraft Heinz's Granite City Plant is seeking motivated individuals for a temp-to-hire Plant Material Handler role. The position starts at $23.00/hour with increases after qualification and a pathway to permanent employment after a 600-hour probation.

You will learn to operate two types of lift trucks, pallet jacks, and to unload materials using a FIFO process. The job emphasizes attendance, attitude, and a strong work ethic to transition into a permanent career with Kraft Heinz.

Qualifications

• Temp-to-hire role with pathway to permanent employment after 600 hours.
• Ability to learn two types of lift trucks and pallet jacks.
• Willingness to read production schedules and manage FIFO processes.
• Strong attendance, attitude and work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities

• Staging supplies and maintaining totes and dumpsters for secondary operations.
• Operate two lift trucks and pallet jacks to bring in raw materials to secondary areas.
• Unload raw materials from receiving using FIFO and stage materials.
• Identify defects in materials and follow proper procedures if defects are found.
• Read production schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Load and transport boxes, bags, crates and other materials as needed to support production.
• Maintain cleanliness of bailers, shredders and trash receptacles.
• Other duties as assigned.
