Job summary

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician for a second shift in Greenwood, IN. The role involves routine QA testing on finished products, sensory evaluations, and sample collection for lab testing.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of QA experience in food manufacturing, with knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and lab equipment calibration. Shift is Monday–Thursday, 2:30PM–1:00 AM, $23.00/hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably within food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control practices (HACCP).
• Experience with sensory evaluations and microbiological plating.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration.
• Understanding of Brix, pH, and water activity meters.
• Familiarity with manufacturing GMPs and food safety standards.
• Ability to perform analytical testing and interpret technical data.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine QA testing on finished products and accurately enter results.
• Conduct sensory evaluations of all flavors produced and report deviations to QA staff.
• Collect microbiological samples and other requested samples for lab testing.
• Scan and organize organic batch tickets into designated electronic files.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare control samples for the next business day.
• Send pre-shipment samples to customers as requested.
• Assist other QA technicians with daily responsibilities and additional tasks as needed.
• Learn and perform new QA testing methods as required.
