Qualifications

• Tests functionality and calibrates electronic or electro-mechanical systems and sub-assemblies according to established procedures using computerized or standard test equipment.
• Troubleshoots or repairs systems to the board level with some emphasis on component level trouble shooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate assemblies in a burn-in oven to elevate temperature prior to testing.
• Examine assemblies for defects or workmanship issues such as scratches or loose connections.
• Calibrate and test assemblies according to written procedures.
• Compare test results with specifications to determine if limits or standards have been met.
• Record all failed and rejected assemblies before attempting repairs.
• Verify dimensions of parts using standard gauges.
• Communicate with engineers and production personnel to resolve problems.
