Temp Technical Procedure Writer – Metropolitan Commercial Bank
Position Summary
A Technical Procedure Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining clear, concise, and accurate procedural documentation that guides employees and ensures compliance with industry standards. This role focuses primarily on our retail branch operations. The position is a 6‑month temporary role with the potential for a permanent extension after six months.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write detailed technical documents, including process instructions, safety protocols, and compliance guidelines that are easy to understand for all employees.
- Contribute to redesigning business processes by identifying opportunities to streamline or automate tasks.
- Collaborate with project teams, subject matter experts, and regulatory bodies to gather information and ensure procedures meet all necessary requirements.
- Regularly update and maintain existing procedures to reflect changes in regulations, technology, or organizational processes.
- Verify that all documentation adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and quality requirements.
- Provide training and support to staff on new procedures and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of technical writing or documentation experience, preferably in retail banking or financial services.
- Skills: Strong writing and editing abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to convey complex information clearly. Proficiency in documentation tools and software (e.g., MS Office, Adobe Acrobat) is essential.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards, and the ability to grasp complex technical concepts.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality.

$48.00 per hour – $53.00 per hour
