Qualifications

• 2000 hours OR scrub experience within last three years or recent graduation from accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Experience in maintaining sterile field and competency scrubbing for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists during surgery as member of the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies.
• Scrubs to maintain aseptic technique and assists in emergency situations.
• Sets up operating room and assembles instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Cleans operating room after procedures and participates in sterilization of instruments.
• Maintains readiness of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• May perform patient prep and operate electronic equipment as directed.
• Establishes courteous relations with patients and staff.
• Transports patients and supports orientation of new staff as needed.
• Supports customer service and quality service initiatives.
