Job summary

Maravai LifeSciences in San Diego is hiring a Temporary Manufacturing Associate I, RNA Reagents to produce research grade components by setting up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment, performing enzymatic reactions, and documenting actions in batch records.

You will review production schedules, follow SOPs, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and use the ERP system to track materials and batches while pursuing opportunities to train and grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific field, preferably Molecular Biology or Biochemistry.
• 1-3 years of relevant manufacturing laboratory experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, and stand and walk for extended periods.
• Experience with executing Standard Operating Procedures.
• Strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for production by reviewing production schedules, studying specifications, calculating requirements, and assembling materials.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following standard operating procedures.
• Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and coordinating repairs as needed.
• Document production by completing forms, reports, logs, and batch records per good documentation practices.
• Receive materials, manage inventory, and maintain ERP records.
