Job summary

The Office of Research at University of Washington is seeking a Compliance Analyst (ES 8) for a 12-month temporary assignment in Seattle, WA. You will manage conflict of interest and outside work programs, support the FCOI process, and coordinate with multiple university offices to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include pre-reviews of disclosures, data management, and training support, with remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, communications, or risk assessment, or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a risk management, legal, or compliance role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including internal reports, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and databases.
• Experience with creating data visualizations, such as Power BI.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in a large, highly structured environment.
• Ability to manage a high volume of time sensitive materials within a specialized database.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake process of Faculty Outside Work Forms and associated approvals and metrics.
• Support the FCOI program by pre-reviews of SFI and Technology Transfer disclosures.
• Perform pre-reviews on Conflict of Commitment and coordinate with central offices.
• Collaborate with researchers to ensure timely, accurate disclosures and compliance.
• Assist with training and monitoring initiatives to reduce administrative burden.
• Maintain federal and public reporting of FCOI data.
• Provide customer service via phone, virtual meetings, or UW ticketing systems.
