AKAM Living Services, Inc. is seeking a reliable Building Maintenance Technician (Temp) for a Boca Raton, FL assignment. The role runs Wed through Sun, 8:30am–4:30pm, with Mon/Tues off, and focuses on keeping the property safe, functional, and appealing.

The ideal candidate has experience in residential maintenance, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently while following safety protocols. This temporary position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential maintenance or handyman services preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Experience cleaning in commercial facilities preferred.
• Must provide own general tools and be able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks while communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on HVAC, including clearing lines and changing filters.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as replacing fixtures and lines.
• Maintain ladders, fans, gutters, and AC vents; perform cleaning where needed.
• Carry out minor electrical maintenance and fixture changes.
• Inspect property regularly and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Maintain and repair equipment in common areas and respond to work orders promptly.
• Ensure safety protocols and HOA codes are followed; update maintenance logs.
