Job summary

AKAM is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician in Boca Raton, FL. The role focuses on keeping the property safe, functional, and presentable, with on-site supervision of routine repairs and preventive maintenance.

You’ll handle HVAC tasks, equipment upkeep, and coordinate with vendors to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety. The position emphasizes self-motivation, reliability, and strong customer service for residents and HOA members.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak and write in English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on HVAC such as clearing lines and changing filters.
• Inspect property regularly to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Maintain and repair equipment in common areas (lobbies, hallways, pools, etc.).
• Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors and supervise on-site work.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and HOA codes.
• Clean windows, floors, and surfaces in clubhouse, gym, and guardhouse.
