Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or laboratory setting.
• Current California phlebotomy licensure (CPT) required; CPR/BLS card required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures; respond to inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and perform venipunctures.
• Obtain blood specimens and conduct standard tests per orders.
• Verify test orders and patient identity; ensure insurance eligibility as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and proper specimen handling; document results.
