Perry Local Schools - Massillon OH is seeking a Payroll Specialist Substitute to provide interim payroll and benefits support for a maternity leave. This part-time, temporary role requires precise data entry, wage calculations, and compliance with district policies while the primary payroll staff is away.

You will assist with payroll processing, time sheets, tax payments, and related reports, ensuring timely and accurate compensation.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Understanding of governmental accounting standards.

Responsabilidades

• Performs employee payroll/benefit functions and related duties to support district payroll during maternity leave.
• Verifies time sheets, calculates gross wages, processes payroll, and reconciles payroll records.
• Distributes paychecks or deposit confirmations as directed and prepares payroll reports/taxes on deadlines.
• Maintains records for payroll, benefits, leaves, and retirement; processes employment services and unemployment reports.
• Provides backup support for other staff and assists with audits and procurement files as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct; communicates effectively with staff and administration.
