Job summary

Sierra College is seeking a temporary Dispatcher to support safety communications and campus dispatching. The position runs on a 12-hour Saturday–Monday shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with an alternating 8-hour shift every other Tuesday (10:00 PM–6:00 AM).

This pool creates part-time or full-time temporary opportunities lasting up to 175 days. Responsibilities include dispatching safety staff, data entry, recordkeeping, and coordinating with first responders.

Qualifications

• Two years of general administrative experience with public contact.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and alternate schedules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for safety/dispatcher needs and coordinate responses.
• Enter and maintain data in databases and reporting systems.
• Greet visitors and answer telephone inquiries, routing to appropriate staff.
