Job summary

Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is hiring for a TES Necropsy Diagnostic Lab Support to assist pathologists with necropsies and specimen handling. The role involves dissection assistance, sample collection, and maintaining a safe lab environment.

The position requires physical work, the ability to work weekends/holidays, and willingness to receive tetanus and rabies vaccines. TES is an internal Auburn unit serving campus staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work.
• Able to work some weekends and holidays.
• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Up-to-date tetanus vaccination and willing to receive rabies vaccine.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and clean work environment.
• File and catalog specimens.
• Follow recipes to make laboratory solutions.
• Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion.
• Often exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, chemicals, etc.
