Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a Necropsy Student Assistant to provide basic support for the diagnostic necropsy service at the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. This role is part-time (0.50 FTE) and located in the Athens area.

You will assist with cleaning and preparing necropsy areas, maintain supplies, and support necropsy procedures under supervision. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proof of protective rabies titer from the past 2 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect necropsy suite (40% of time).
• Maintain a clean and well‑stocked necropsy suite (40% of time).
• Assist under direct supervision with necropsies as needed (20% of time).
