Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Material Handler I/II for a temporary/contract role on the production floor. You will receive, move, stock, and ship materials, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate counts.

This position supports multiple value streams and requires adherence to work instructions and quality standards. Responsibilities include cycle counts, assessing variances, unpacking and stocking, and assisting with training.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of manufacturing experience and familiarity with manufacturing software tools.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and lean principles.
• Ability to apply continuous improvement tools.
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory control following established work instructions and processes.
• Complete cycle count process and escalate variances as needed.
• Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts or other equipment.
• Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom locations; pack and ship materials per contract requirements.
• Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work.
• Issue critical materials to production cells.
• Aid and backfill coworkers as needed to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with export compliance rules.
• Assist with training new employees and cross training other materials associates.
