Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Material Handler I/II for a temporary/contract role to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials. You will receive, move, store, count, track, issue, and ship materials across production cells, working to meet on-time delivery goals.

The position requires 3–6 years in manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with lean principles. Benefits include comprehensive health plans and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and lean principles.
• Strong math, problem solving, and ability to follow detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory control following work instructions.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate variances.
• Move materials between receiving, production and shipping areas.
• Consult with supervisors to rectify problems such as damages or shortages.
• Unpack, receive, and stock materials; pack and ship per contract requirements.
• Read work orders to determine material needs for production cells.
• Issue materials to production cells and respond to unplanned issues.
• Support training of coworkers and backfill as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and ITAR/export rules.
