Job summary

PeopleWorks IL, LLC is seeking a hands-on Temporary HR Manager to provide immediate HR leadership at our Phoenix, AZ battery manufacturing facility. This full-time temporary role spans two months, with on-site duties and a start date ASAP.

You will lead employee relations, payroll, compliance, and onboarding for shift-based teams. The ideal candidate brings manufacturing HR experience, strong investigations skills, and the ability to work independently alongside plant leadership and employees

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional HR experience, including manufacturing exposure.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing/industrial plant environment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field; equiv manufacturing HR experience considered.
• Strong employee relations, investigations, and HR compliance experience.
• Experience supporting HR operations in a shift-based manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Address employee concerns and conduct workplace investigations.
• Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities and support plant leadership.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding for manufacturing roles.
• Oversee payroll timekeeping processes and payroll accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Support employee engagement and safety HR matters with EHS.
