Job summary

Phoenix Staff, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager for electro‑mechanical manufacturing in Phoenix, AZ. The role oversees daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery while coordinating technicians, materials, and equipment on the shop floor.

The manager partners with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive continuous improvement, develop technicians, and support new product introductions and ramps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing, production, or related ops field.
• 2+ years of supervising technicians or production staff.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix, high-reliability env.
• Knowledge of scheduling, standard work, docs, QA systems, CI.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily manufacturing: assembly, testing, calibration, and inspection.
• Convert priorities into daily/weekly work plans with staffing.
• Monitor WIP, material availability, and schedule risks.
• Ensure standard work, procedures, safety, and docs are followed.
• Maintain production records, traceability, and training docs.
• Track metrics like yield, defects, scrap, and throughput.
• Lead CAPA, root-cause analysis, and process audits.
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, and other improvement methods.
• Coach and develop technicians; onboard and cross-train.
• Support new product introductions, changes, and ramps.
• Provide manufacturing feedback to engineering on manufacturability.
