Our Public Works Department is progressive and promotes true teamwork in an environment with great morale and is looking for a temporary Laborer.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of a variety of construction and maintenance equipment
  • Performing manual labor activities as needed and/or as required by the Public Works Department
  • Safe operation of city owned vehicles, such as pick-up trucks, dump trucks, salt spreaders, snowplows, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Preference given to those with a valid CLASS B driver’s license
  • Must be available for emergencies such as snowfall, floods, downed trees, etc.
  • Knowledge of a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks and the basic knowledge and skills required to operate a computer and related software
  • A willingness to demonstrate a commitment to the City of Biddeford's work around diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 4:30pm
