Job summary

The Advanced Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (ARDL) at the University of Minnesota is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support sample processing and kit building in a high-throughput setting. The role involves handling specimens, preparing kits, and assisting with equipment maintenance under SOPs.

Responsibilities include accessioning samples in StarLIMS, managing inventory, and coordinating with Lab personnel.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples in the FedEx Ship Manager, sort and accession samples in StarLIMS.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as freezers and centrifuges.
• Sort and store inventory, prepare and label vials.
• Maintain a detailed specimen inventory in StarLIMS.
• Monitor and order supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
