Job summary

Georgia Bone and Joint in Newnan, GA is seeking a temporary athletic trainer to be placed in the local school system. The role covers on-site athletic training coverage for practices and home events, injury evaluation and rehabilitation planning, prevention measures, immediate care, and coordination with physicians and school staff.

Requirements include CAATE-accredited education, BOC certification, GA Athletic Training License, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

Graduate from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program.
BOC certification and State of Georgia Athletic Training License.
Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site athletic training coverage for practices and events at the school.
Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Implement injury prevention techniques such as taping, bracing, and stretching.
Provide immediate care and concussion management as needed.
Coordinate referrals to physicians and healthcare providers.
Communicate with physicians, administrators, coaches, parents and medical staff on injury status and return to play.
Educate student athletes on nutrition, hydration and overall wellness.
Maintain confidential medical records and inventory of supplies.
Ensure compliance with Heritage School policies and Georgia State guidelines.
Participate in annual evaluation processes and perform other duties as assigned.
