Job summary

Worth County Schools is seeking a certified Athletic Trainer to provide on-site athletic healthcare coverage for high school and middle school activities. The role requires BOC-ATC certification, Georgia LAT licensure or eligibility, and current CPR/AED/First Aid for Health Care Provider.

Strong knowledge of GHSA health standards and concussion, heat, and injury prevention is essential. The Athletic Trainer will work with coaches, students, and families, maintain documentation, and collaborate

Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's degree is required.
Knowledge of GHSA health and safety requirements, concussion management, heat and hydration protocols, emergency action planning, and sudden cardiac arrest procedures.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work with students, parents/guardians, coaches, and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site prevention, evaluation, immediate and emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning for athletic injuries within scope of practice.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive athletic training program for Worth County Schools athletics.
Coordinate athlete medical clearance and assist with pre-participation physical documentation and eligibility requirements.
Communicate injury status and treatment plans with physicians, administrators, coaches, and families while maintaining confidentiality.
Maintain documentation of all student-athlete encounters and compliance with district procedures.
