Job summary

King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, WA is seeking friendly, customer-focused Front Desk Attendants to greet guests, process registrations, and handle program payments.

These part-time, on-site roles offer about 15 hours per week with evenings, weekends, and special events. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; prior cash handling and computer skills help you succeed in a fast-paced community hub.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to positively interact with a variety of people in a diverse work environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
• Ability to effectively use computers and office software.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use discretion, patience, proper etiquette, and professionalism to establish and maintain effective relationships, even in challenging situations.
• Maintenance of current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willing to certify within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers via telephone, in writing and/or in person and provide program specific information
• Collect admissions fees and register patrons for scheduled programs. Handle multiple-step transactions such as receiving and/or issuing receipts, forms, cash and documents.
• Educate patrons of rules and policies of the King County Aquatic Center.
• Respond to emergency situations; follow facility protocol for reporting damage, incidents or injuries.
• Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform data entry.
