Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN, is hiring for a 3-month temporary Food Service Assistant. Responsibilities include delivering meals to patients, serving in the cafeteria, and ensuring dietary accuracy. Training is provided, with ServSafe and health screenings required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification or MN Department of Health Food Manager’s certificate preferred or willingness to successfully complete ServSafe certification course.
• Six months related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Ability to interact with patients, physicians, employees, and guests.
• Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a calm, productive manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver room service meals to patients.
• Wash and sanitize dishes.
• Serve co-workers and visitors in the cafeteria.
• Brew Caribou coffee.
• Deliver meals to catered meetings on site.
• Ensure meals match dietary requirements.
• Contribute to a food-safe environment by monitoring food temperatures and storage.
• Restock supplies and clean kitchen areas.
