Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare Corporation in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking a Food Service Assistant for casual, on-site work. Typical duties include delivering patient room service, washing dishes, serving the cafeteria, brewing Caribou coffee, and delivering meals to catered meetings.

You will learn diet orders and ensure meals meet dietary requirements. We offer on-the-job training, ServSafe food sanitation and food allergens courses, with cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ServSafe or MN Health Food Manager’s cert preferred.
• Six months related food service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and interact with patients, physicians, employees, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver room service meals to patients.
• Wash and sanitize dishes.
• Serve co-workers and visitors in the cafeteria.
• Brew Caribou coffee and deliver meals to catered meetings on site.
• Ensure meals match dietary requirements and maintain a food-safe environment.
