Cedar Rapids Community School District is hiring a temporary Assistant Manager at Cleveland Elementary School in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role supports food service operations during the 2026-2027 school year, with a 7:00am–1:30pm schedule and a 6.5‑hour shift.

You will prepare main dishes, supervise staff, and assist in ordering, training, and daily records while ensuring safety and quality. This is a nine‑month assignment with district benefits as per the agreement.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; kitchen experience preferred.
• SNA/Kitchen certification preferred.
• Kitchen experience and knowledge of school food service are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare main dishes and menu items following recipes and production methods.
• Assist in determining quantities of food and supplies to order.
• Train and serve as backup manager; manage in manager's absence.
• Maintain daily production records and cooperate with cleaning and safety standards.
• Support with records, meetings, and in-service training as needed.
