Job summary

Kith Retail LLC, a New York-based lifestyle brand, seeks an Assistant Accessories Designer to join the Accessories Design Team. You will assist the team in executing processes to bring accessories and lifestyle projects to materialization, collaborating across design, product, and archive partners.

The role emphasizes research, CAD sketching, tech pack creation, and supporting the full product life cycle from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Industrial Design.
• 1–3 years of experience in accessories design or graphics design in the fashion industry.
• Portfolio required.
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator with strong rendering capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Accessories Designers and report to Head of Accessories across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist on product development of accessories by researching, sketching, building tech packs, and following product life cycle processes.
• Sketch CADs with sized artwork and detailed call outs as directed by the team.
• Create tech packs for products needing completion.
• Manage branding decks, seasonal color palettes, and trim charts.
• Keep samples and trims organized by development stages and collections.
• Support lifecycle from sketch through pre-production and production samples.
• Attend weekly design meetings and recap with designers and cross-functional partners.
• Set up and organize milestone meetings to present seasonal samples.

Position Summary

Seeking a passionate and creative Assistant Accessories Designer who is interested in exploring a career in accessories and lifestyle design at Kith. The ideal candidate is a driven individual, a collaborator that will help assist the Accessories Design Team in the execution of process, in order to bring the designed projects to materialization.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Accessories Designers and report alongside the Head of Accessories across multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
• Assist on the product development of accessories styles by doing research, sketching, building tech packs and follow alongside the product life cycle processes.
• Sketch CADs with sized artwork and detailed call outs with direction provided by the team.
• Creating tech packs for the products that need to be completed.
• Manage branding decks, seasonal color palettes, and trim charts.
• Assist team in keeping organization of samples and trims by development stages and corresponding collections.
• Assist in managing the product life cycle from sketch through pre-production and production samples.
• Attend weekly design meetings and recap with designers as well as cross-functional partners.
• Assist in setting up and organizing for milestone meetings, ensuring the seasonal samples are in order for presentation purposes.
• Liaise with SMU partners on sample hand-offs and coordinate tracking.
• Liaise with the archive team to manage sample loans and ensure their proper return and archival.

Requirements

• Experience Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in accessories design or graphics design in the fashion industry
• Must provide a portfolio of work
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, with strong rendering capabilities
• Understanding of soft good accessories development, construction and application of artwork techniques
• Experience and knowledge of product development process/ calendar/ timeline
• Experience in creating mood boards and conducting market research.

Skills

• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Google Suite and the PLM system.
• Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of construction.
