Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CT technologist for a temporary assignment up to 9 months. You will prepare patients, operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans, and support physicians across various units within the system.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree, ARRT CT certification, and at least 1 year of CT experience. Certification within 6 months of hire and an applicable state license are required.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree; ARRT radiography or NMTCB nuclear medicine credentials preferred.
• Experience: One year CT experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT CT—RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT; ARRT CT RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) within 6 months; state license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Be flexible to be temporarily assigned to a unit for designated weeks across the system.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to First Do No Harm principles.

What We Offer

This position is a Temp Assignment Based CT Tech for up to a maximum of 9 months.

Temp Assignment Based CT techs are experienced, proficient technologist within their specialty responsible for providing safe, continuous quality patient care in a variety of settings. These CT techs are temporarily assigned to one unit for a designated number of weeks based on needs of the system. These CT techs possess the skills, competency and qualifications, as well as a requirement to work in any Novant Health location. The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement
  • Applicable state license, required
