Job summary

Novant Health in North Carolina is seeking a CT technologist to support physicians by preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

The role requires an associate degree, ARRT CT certification, and state licensure, with a preference for candidates with 1 year CT experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiography preferred; ARRT radiography program graduate required.
• Active ARRT CT certification or CNMT with CT eligibility may be required within 6 months.
• State licensure to practice radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT procedures and position them for imaging.
• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans as directed by physicians.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with age-specific care during imaging.

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• NH Medical Center- Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire. Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire, required.
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT), required.
• Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
• Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.
