Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Metrology Process Engineer/Microscopist in California to prepare TEM lamellae with Helios dual-beam FIB systems and image via in-situ STEM detectors or 200 keV TEM. You will set up, run, and troubleshoot high-end instruments, handle sensitive samples, and collaborate with process engineers to optimize results.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
• 2 years of related microscopy experience.
• Experience with electron microscopes and dual-beam FIB tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare TEM lamellae using Helios dual-beam FIB tools.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Interpret data and troubleshoot when data does not meet expectations.
• Develop new techniques to expedite sample processing.
• Create documentation and training for team members.
