Job Location: Norman Main Banking Center - Norman, OK 73072

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing and supervising the operations of all Norman Bank Tellers

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise all Norman Tellers to include providing input in directing and scheduling work, completing evaluations, interviewing, hiring, counseling, coaching, disciplining, and any other personnel issues.
  • Responsible for staff training and development.
  • Greet customers entering the bank and direct customers to the appropriate area for assistance.
  • Serve as Vault Teller.
  • Provide input on policy and procedural changes and updates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of currency and coin, including ordering and shipping as needed.
  • Perform Teller cash drawer audits quarterly.
  • Ensure gift card information is sent to corporate monthly, and upon request as needed.
  • Provide input on policy and procedural changes and updates.
  • Complete various reports.
  • Balance, maintain and service ATM.
  • Receive and pay money including processing loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and inquiries.
  • Balance currency, coin and checks in cash drawer at the end of each day.
  • Straighten cash in cash drawer and prepare it for selling to the vault.
  • Check and maintain all inventory of stock necessary to operate Teller Line.
  • Work with Security Officer and the designated security representative to maintain current dual control, and security standards in the teller lines.
  • Assist customers with account maintenance including printing temporary checks, accepting check orders, processing stop payments, accepting customer information (CIF) changes, transferring funds, etc.
  • Assist customers with wires forms for processing.
  • Market bank products by determining customer needs from conversations or customer relationships such as Visa Merchant, Remote Deposit, Cash Management, and Trust Investments
  • Assist all Team Members as needed
  • Open deposit accounts including checking, savings, CDs and IRAs, rent safe deposit boxes and provide access to safe deposit boxes
  • Assist Loan Officers with various correspondences and other projects as needed.
  • Responsible for records retention, including the shredding of documentation when needed.
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
  • Follow the direction of supervisor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting and standing for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity
  • Frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds of coin, paper supplies or minor office equipment)
  • Driving to client locations and other sites as needed
