Job summary

First Oklahoma Bank in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated Teller to perform financial transactions with accuracy and provide exceptional customer service. You will work under the Branch Manager in a busy Retail Deposits environment.

Responsibilities include processing deposits and withdrawals, balancing cash drawers, preparing cashier’s checks and money orders, and assisting with audits while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Six months teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end-of-shift and calculate daily transactions using computer, calculator, or adding machine, balance and replenish automated cash recycler, identify transaction errors when debits and credits do not balance.
• Accurately process customer transactions such as cash back, deposits, term deposits, loan payments, retirement savings plan contributions, night deposits, courier deposits, and mail deposits and other requests by following established bank policy.
• Prepare and verify cashier’s checks, money orders, cash advances, and disbursements checks
• Balancing the vault, ordering, and selling currency and coin
• Assist monthly and quarterly branch audits of cash drawers, the vault, key inventory, safe deposit box audit and others as assigned.
• Ensure the highest level of customer service possible is provided to all bank customer at each interaction.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions
• Follow procedures established according to teller manual, including opening, and closing check lists and all other policies set forth by First Oklahoma Bank

POSITION SUMMARY: The Teller is responsible for accurately conducting financial transactions, providing excellent customer service to bank customers and responses to inquiries regarding products and services. Duties are performed under the supervisor of the Branch Manager and follow established bank policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Equivalent Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• Six months recent teller experience is preferred
