Job summary

Provident Credit Union in Hayward, CA is seeking a part-time Teller to support daily member transactions and referrals. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and use Provident’s products to help members meet their financial goals.

This role offers 29 hours per week with a schedule Mon-Thu 11:00am-5:30pm, Fri 12:00pm-6:30pm, Sat 8:30am-4:30pm. Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred; we provide generous benefits and training opportunities.

• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred.

Our Tellers handle cash, interact with members and seize every opportunity they can to sell Provident’s great products and services to help our members manage their finances successfully. You’ll also be working towards your professional goals while helping members reach their financial goals. This position opens the door to a variety of future career possibilities with Provident.

Desired Hours:

This is a part time position, 29 hours per week. The schedule will vary as follows:

• Mon – Thursday: 11:00am – 5:30pm
• Friday: 12:00pm - 6:30pm
• Saturday: 8:30am – 4:30pm:

Here’s a breakdown of the day-to-day functions:

• Assist members with their daily transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, ATM or debit card replacement)
• Recognize member needs and make referrals that may be of benefit to them.
• Give your best every day to provide top-notch service to members. (Sure, this is a given – but we like saying it anyway!)
• Helping members reach financial goals by suggesting Provident’s products and services.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred!!
