OakStar Bank seeks a Teller I in Springfield, MO, to deliver excellent customer service and process financial transactions accurately. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related activities, while following bank procedures and ensuring security and compliance.

Formación

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of banking terminology, products, and services.
• Strong attention to detail with intermediate mathematical skills.
• Basic knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and banking policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive customer information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and banking software; ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to work overtime to assist customers and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, addressing inquiries and providing solutions.
• Process customer transactions like deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments accurately.
• Provide customers with account balances, statements, and other information.
• Ensure transactions are recorded and balanced daily; report discrepancies promptly.
• Accurately handle cash and maintain cash drawer integrity.
• Assist with night depository duties, checks, and branch vault cash management.
• Detect counterfeit money or suspicious activity and report promptly.
• Refer customers to appropriate departments for new services.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of customer information and accounts.
• Promote bank services and products based on customer needs.
• Adhere to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
