Job summary

OakStar Bank in Missouri is seeking a Teller I to provide exceptional customer service while processing financial transactions accurately. You will be the primary contact for many customers, handling deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other banking tasks.

This non-exempt hourly role requires attention to detail, adherence to policies, and the ability to balance cash drawers daily. It supports branch operations and offers opportunities to grow within a friendly team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
• Previous cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic banking terminology knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail with intermediate math skills.
• Basic knowledge of state and federal banking regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and process deposits, withdrawals, checks, transfers and loan payments accurately.
• Identify customers and ensure proper endorsements and documentation.
• Provide account balances and statements upon request.
• Handle stop payments, holds, and wire inquiries.
• Balance cash drawer and record transactions daily.
• Promote bank services and refer to appropriate departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies and regulations.
