Job summary

Landmark Credit Union is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented teller to serve members with accurate cash handling and professional service. You will process deposits, withdrawals, and payments, and promote additional member services while maintaining a balanced drawer.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently, and compliance with policies. The position is a weekday 40-hour week with rotating Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and use banking programs and systems.
• Understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and laws.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide teller and related services with accuracy to ensure balanced cash drawer daily.
• Cross-sell other member services.
• Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
• Assist in ATM balancing if needed.
• May train for open/close duties with on-site manager.
• May train to verify checks for other tellers.
• May train to perform overrides and cross-train in other branch roles.
• Attend training at HQ or off-site as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This 40 hr/week position requires working weekday shifts and every other Saturday.

BRANCH HOURS

Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM

NATURE AND SCOPE

Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Provides cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services tomembers. Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1. High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
• 3. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,organizational skills and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
• 4. Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems usedfor this job.
• 5. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as theyrelate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and alljob-related State and federal laws and regulations.
• 6. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• 1. Provides friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services tomembers resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
• 2. Cross-sells other member services.
• 3. Processes mail deposits and withdrawals.
• 4. May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
• 5. May train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site).
• 6. May train to verify checks for other tellers.
• 7. May train to perform overrides.
• 8. May be cross trained to help in other positions within the branch.
• 9. May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.
• 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
